Controversial YouTuber IShowSpeed nearly torched his own house while messing around with Pikachu fireworks to celebrate July 4.

Kai Cenat’s buddy IShowSpeed is famous for his wild videos that have garnered him both harsh criticism and a whopping 18 million YouTube subscribers.

In his most recent upload, the YouTuber opted to mark America’s Independence Day on July 4 with an explosive fireworks spectacle that came dangerously close to burning a house down.

The whole ordeal took place towards the end of his almost two-hour stream, while filming within a bedroom, possibly in his old stomping grounds.

It all started when the YouTuber placed a Pikachu firework on a chair, which was sitting on the bed.

After a few minutes of playing around, he eventually lit it up, hyped on by a younger guy, as they both started jumping and screaming.

The Pikachu firework then suddenly began crackling, unleashing sparks that scattered throughout the small bedroom, prompting IShowSpeed to take cover… beneath a rug.

The situation spiralled out of control in no time, as smoke started to fill up the room, leaving the YouTuber desperately attempting to smother the firework using a pair of pillows.

In the next moment, he appears visibly dizzy, eventually collapsing onto the nearby sofa, likely due to hyperventilating and breathing in all these toxic fumes.

As other men came in the room to check up on him, IShowSpeed eventually got up, shouting ‘What the f*** Pikachu’ before moving outside.

Shortly after, he wrapped up the stream, looking much better than before, and racking up over a million views in the process.

This isn’t even the first time IShowSpeed pulled off something like this. Last year the fire department paid him a visit because he decided to mess around with that exact same type of Pikachu firework – it seems like some people never learn…

What did he expect to happen? (Picture: YouTube)
