James McAtee’s first half strike had put the Premier League champions ahead in Tokyo on Wednesday.

However, they were pegged back inside the final 10 minutes by Mathys Tel, before Laporte grabbed the winner four minutes from time.

City will conclude their tour of Asia against Atletico Madrid in Seoul on Sunday.
