A 22-year-old man has died after he was struck by a car in west London.
The pedestrian was discovered by police officers on the A4 Great West Road in Hounslow while they were responding to an unrelated matter in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Emergency services, including paramedics and the air ambulance, rushed to the incident on the busy stretch of road at around 3.51am.
Despite their best efforts, he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.
Officers say the collision between a car and the man happened at the junction with Brook Lane North, Brentford.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.
A closure has been in place on the road underneath the Chiswick Flyover for several hours.
It will remain shut while investigations are carried out by detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
Met Police is urging any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.
Earlier this week, an eight-year-old boy died after he was hit by a van.
