A football pitch in mid Wales was left under water after heavy rain blew the whistle on Saturday’s match.

Borth United FC, in Ceredigion, was forced to swap football boots for flippers after much of its pitch was submerged.

The fixture against Tywyn Bryncrug FC had to be postponed.

Bad weather swept across parts of Wales on Friday, causing travel disruption in Swansea and Carmarthenshire.
