THIS Morning bosses look set to use their rocky year by giving the show a 21st Century make-over.

Rather than simply looking for new presenters to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield from the tried and tested pool of TV hosts, The Sun can reveal they are also looking at online stars.

In particular, husband and wife duo LadBaby have caught the attention of execs – who are keen to revive the show for a new generation.

The Vlogging duo, whose real names are Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, currently have 1.13 million subscribers on YouTube.

They also have a further 3.5 million followers on TikTok.

A source said: “It’s earlier days but Lad Baby have officially entered into talks with ITV about joining the This Morning family on a permanent basis.
“They have secretly been travelling to London for meetings with execs.

“Bosses thought it was worth bringing them in after they impressed during an appearance on Lorraine.

“The fact they currently hold the record for most UK Christmas number ones will have no doubt helped.”

In August this year Roxanne appeared on Lorraine as a roving reporter to out Zorb football.

Viewers were quick to praise the segment – flooding a clip of the segment posted on Lorraine’s Facebook page with calls for more TV work.

One fan wrote: “Rox u make a great presenter.”

Another added: “Brilliant. Let’s hope more presenting comes her way.”

A third chimed in : “Rox needs a presenting job, she is fab and so infectious in a good way.”

This Morning has dominated headlines their year following the shock exit by Philip Schofield in May.

Despite initially continuing in her role, his co-host Holly Willoughby left the show in October.

Since then Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have stepped up to present more shows as well as Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle.

Rylan and Rochelle Humes have also enjoyed more regular slots on the show as bosses decide what to do next.

A rep for ITV declined to comment – simply adding any names reported to the mix are “pure speculation”.
