These are the UniBond Aero 360° Refill tablets.

Customers just have to whack them in their dehumidifier and let the tablets work their magic – for an estimated period of one to three months.

The tablets are ideal for rooms up to 20 square metres, but can also work in larger rooms.

Aldi recommends using them in their UniBond Aero 360° Moisture Absorber, which they sell for just £9.99 – but they also work in other dehumidifiers.

The tablets are made from recycled plastic, function without electricity and even have an advanced 360 degree air circulation.

We had a really bad mould and condensation problem on our walls

The multinational supermarket describes the tablets as being able to “effectively absorb moisture to create a comfortable indoor climate.”

“It prevents common damp problems such as condensation, mould and musty smells.”

While the absorber is described as: “Featuring innovative 2-in-1 refill tab technology, the moisture absorber not only reduces excess moisture but also neutralises odours.

“The AERO 360° tab is comprised of ultra-active crystals and its patented wave-shaped surface enhances air exposure and circulation.

“Additionally, the tab includes patented anti-odour agents which capture and neutralise bad smells.

“The UniBond moisture absorber device also indicates when a refill is required, promising non-stop moisture control.”

And plenty of happy customers have been gushing with agreement.

Over 10,000 people have left five-star reviews, claiming that the UniBond Aero 360° tablets are the best solution to mould and condensation.

One avid user wrote: “The UniBond Aero 360 Moisture Absorber is your ultimate solution for banishing excess moisture and creating a healthier living environment.

“With its innovative design and efficiency, it effectively absorbs dampness, preventing mold, mildew, and unpleasant odors.

“The moisture-absorbing process not only helps prevent mold and mildew growth but also protects your furniture, walls, and fabrics from damage caused by excess moisture.”

Another said: “These are brilliant. We had a moisture issue near our front door and we’re using hanging bags.

“These work a charm! They really absorb a majority of the moisture (nothing is ever 100%) but definately works better than the hanging bags.

“Honestly – I’d get them. They’re also useful as they’re refillable too!”

While a third added: “I’ve noticed a lot more condensation in one bedroom and porch this year, so got these to try.

“My goodness, do they work well! They’re very easy to put together. Within a day of using I could see liquid starting to collect in the bottom, meaning it had taken that much moisture out of the air.

“It’s over an inch deep now in 2 weeks! Definitely a good buy.”

How to fight mould in your home

  • Firstly, keep humidity levels in your home as low as possible
  • You can buy an air conditioner or dehumidifier to keep the level low – or, use metre to check humidity levels
  • It is also important to check that the air in your home is free flowing – you can use exhaust fans that vent outside your house
  • Be sure to fix any leaks in your house, so that mould doesn’t have access to the moisture it needs to grow
  • Clean your bathroom with products that target mould
  • Don’t put a carpet somewhere that might have a lot of moisture, like your bathroom
  • You can also add mould inhibitors to your walls if you paint them

Research by property firm Peter Cox found three in ten Brits currently have damp in their home, and nearly half (47%) have experienced mould in the last year.

So, Lynsey Hope took it upon herself to find out which of the best-selling mould-destroying sprays worked the best.

At Tesco, you can pick up the Cillit Bang power cleaner black mould remover spray (750ml) for £3.50.

At Asda, the Astonish mould and mildew blaster spray (750ml) which one reader swears by, is just £1.19.

While cleaning expert, Laura Harnett, revealed a hack to help you fight off mould on a budget.
