Erik ten Hag: ‘We let them escape and it is avoidable’

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, speaking to BBC Sport:

It was a throw-in [for Fulham] in the corner, we had them under pressure and we have one player in the wrong position.

As a team we should manage that and make sure everyone is in the right position. We let them escape and it is avoidable.

The team showed big character to fight back, we deserved the equaliser and went for the win – we showed big personality and character. It was that mistake. Before that we went for the win and we should have taken our opportunities.

On whether the game was too open:

We struggled with their influence and their impact on our left side. But we reacted well and how to deal with it, how to step up from the back and once we had that we got more from the game and took control to create the chances.

On the impact of injuries to Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund:

With the squad we had today we should have won this game. Both halves were slow starts and we should be ready from the first whistle.

That’s a point of criticism but the team showed big character in both halves.”

Is Ten Hag’s time ticking?

There has been lots of debate about whether Erik ten Hag is the right man for the job at United and today’s result certainly won’t help him.

It is clear from the comments section that it divides opinion.

This fan thinks that other options for the role aren’t great and that it should be on the players.

Anonymous: People once again pointed at ten Hag. Honestly who else could come in now and do a job? Very then pickings. Hopefully, the players will be accountable.

Tony Khan: ‘Huge thanks to all of you at Old Trafford in the rain today’

Fulham vice-Chairman, Tony Khan seems delighted with the result, and you can see why!

It was a big day for the club and it will be remembered by all involved for a very long time.

I’ll certainly remember it, the office was carnage when that late winner went in!

Gleeful Glasner

Look at that smile, Oliver Glasner is a happy boy!

I’m sure this is how all Crystal Palace fans are looking after such a great performance from their team today.

If they continue to play the way they did today, I assume we will be seeing this smile a lot more.

Fernandes not a happy bunny

Bruno Fernandes was not happy when the full-time whistle went.

I’m not sure why he was so angry, they were beaten by the better team and were even lucky to have 10 men on the pitch at the end.

Not one of his better days.

Things are bleak for Burnley

Things are not looking good for Burnley and Vincent Kompany.

They are now winless in eight Premier League games, and don’t look like they will get one for a while.

How can he turn this around?

With 13 points, it looks like their fate is nearly sorted.

Leaving it late

Fulham left it nearly as late as anybody else has at Old Trafford.

Manchester United fans are used to late winners, just not from the opposition.

What a time to win your first game at Old Trafford in 20 years.

Fantastic Fulham

What a result for Fulham.

While I’m sure a lot of criticism is coming Manchester United’s way, you can’t take it away from the Cottagers. they were brilliant.

They bossed the match for nearly 90 minutes. They didn’t look like a team that hadn’t won an away match since August.

Henry Clark: ‘Nothing less than Crystal Palace deserved’

Henry Clark at Selhurst Park:

A winning start for Oliver Glasner and nothing less than Crystal Palace deserved.

It took them 68 minutes to break 10-man Burnley’s resistance but ran riot from there on. Positive signs for Palace supporters.

FULL-TIME: Crystal Palace 3-0 Burnley

The Oliver Glasner era is off to the perfect start.

Three goals in the space of 10 minutes in the second half did the job for Crystal Palace, and they earned it.

Burnley made it hard for themselves when Josh Brownhill was sent off in the first half and it was all downhill from there.

Elation for Palace, but you fear for Burnley.

FULL-TIME: Brighton 1-1 Everton

Everton’s hearts were broken at the end, but it would have been a steal if they ended up with the three points.

Jarrad Branthwaite opened the scoring against the run of play with a spectacular effort before Lewis Dunk equalised in the 95th minute.

Brighton had to do it the hard way as Billy Gilmour was sent off for a horrific challenge on Amadou Onana.

The points are shared at the Amex!

FULL-TIME: Man United 1-2 Fulham

Alex Iwobi’s last-gasp winner secures Fulham their first win on the road since the opening day.

They hadn’t beaten Manchester United since 2009, but they deserved it today.

They thought they’d have to wait another day after Harry Maguire cancelled out Calvin Bassey’s opener.

However, up stepped Alex Iwobi to stun the theatre of dreams.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first week as an official part-owner has gotten off to a poor start.

FULL-TIME: Aston Villa 4-2 Nottingham Forest

A big win for Aston Villa.

They had a scare after conceding two goals to relinquish their three-goal lead.

However, Leon bailey added to his two assists to with a goal ensure the three points were staying at Villa Park.

With Man United losing, this result looks even better.

GOAL!!! Man United 1-2 Fulham (Iwobi 90+7′)

Alex Iwobi has won it for Fulham in amazing fashion. We all thought it would be Man United after all that momentum.

The Nigerian midfielder wrong-foots Andre Onana and slides it past him.

This will be their first win against United in 15 years!

GOAL!!! Brighton 1-1 Everton (Dunk 90+5′)

Lewis Dunk breaks Evertonian hearts with a 95th-minute equaliser.

He rises highest to meet a Pascal Gross cross and it loops over Jordan Pickford.

NINE ADDED MINUTES – Man United 1-1 Fulham

Man United are like a team possessed.

It’s all United and Bruno Fernandes has just had a wonderful strike saved well by Bernd Leno.

You feel they will get this winner. Old Trafford is bouncing, it’s a cauldron.

They have nine minutes of added time to get something.

GOAL!!! Man United 1-1 Fulham (Maguire 89′)

They haven’t looked like scoring, but they have now and it’s through a man who is lucky to be on the pitch – Harry Maguire.

He smashes home from close range after Bernd Leno parries Bruno Fernandes’s shot into his path.

You wouldn’t expect him to be in that position but they will be thankful he was. VAR gives the goal after a brief check.

United just don’t lose to Fulham!

DISALLOWED GOAL! Crystal Palace 3-0 Burnley

A consolation goal for Burnley… or is it?

The goals have been flying in, but this one doesn’t count. Fofana thinks he has netted but it is ruled out for offside.

I said I wanted more goals so I can’t complain.

RED CARD: Brighton 0-1 Everton (Gilmour)

That is a horrible challenge.

Billy Gilmour lunges in on Amadou Onana and is rightly sent off. That was very nasty.

Brighton have it all to do, and now have to do it with ten men.

GOAL!!! Crystal Palace 3-0 Burnley (Mateta 78′)

Jean-Phillippe Mateta makes no mistake from the spot. He very rarely does.

What a day it has been for Palace and Oliver Glasner, it could not have gone much better for them.

A much-needed win and they are value for it, assuming Burnley don’t mount one of the greatest Premier League comebacks in history.

PENALTY TO PALACE!

This is going from bad to worse for Burnley.

VAR took it’s time but eventually awards the penalty after Franca was taken down in the area.

GOAL!!! Brighton 0-1 Everton (Branthwaite 72′)

Was that really from a centre-half? It looked like a 20-goal-a-season striker.

Jarrad Branthwaite smashes the ball into the top-right corner like a bullet amongst a crowd of players.

They have been under the cosh in this one, but they lead.

GOAL!!! Crystal Palace 2-0 Burnley (Ayew 71′)

Crystal Palace are in dreamland, two goals in three minutes and they are underway under Oliver Glasner.

Jordan Ayew finishes this one at the back post into an empty net.

GOAL!!! Crystal Palace 1-0 Burnley (Richards 68′)

The Glasner era has lift off!

The goals are flying in all at once, and this one is huge for Crystal Palace and Oliver Glasner.

Omar Richards rises highest at the back post to head home and sends Selhurst Park crazy.

There are some happy faces in south London!

GOAL!!! Aston Villa 4-2 Nottingham Forest (Bailey 61′)

Leon Bailey has grabbed two assists in this game and finally has his goal.

He couldn’t have had an easier chance as he taps home from close range after Ollie Watkins’ strike is parried into his path.

GOAL!!! Man United 0-1 Fulham (Bassey 65′)

Fulham have been knocking at the door all game and finally have their reward.

It’s from an unlikely source in Calvin Bassey, but the visitors won’t care.

He hits the ball the first time but it’s blocked by Timothy Castagne, however, he doesn’t give up and slots home the rebound.

Can they finally get their win against United?

Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

The ten men are battling well and came close to opening the scoring there.

Datro Fofana gets his head on the ball at the back post, but it flies wide.

A goal could be coming soon I feel.

Should Maguire have seen red?

Harry Maguire is one lucky boy.

We missed this in the first half, and somehow, so did the referee – even with VAR!

This has to be a red card. The studs are up, nowhere near the ball, late, all the makings of a red card.

HIT THE POST! Aston Villa 3-2 Nottingham Forest

This is one hell of a game.

At one end Divock Origi nearly levels before Youri Tielemens hits the post at the other.

This scoreline could be anything. I am certainly not going to predict it.

Aston Villa 3-2 Nottingham Forest

Tom Collomosse at Villa Park:

What a turnaround here. Forest made a triple change at half-time and Villa are rattled. Sub Divock Origi is causing havoc and Anthony Elanga just missed a glorious chance to level. Emery urging his team to calm down

GOAL!!! Aston Villa 3-2 Nottingham Forest (Gibbs-White 48′)

I thought this game was dead and buried – we all did presumably – but it’s alive and kicking now.

Nottingham Forest have pulled another goal back through Morgan Gibbs-White, and in some style.

The midfielder chips Emi Martinez after being played through by Divock Origi.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but GAME ON!

SECOND HALF!

The second half of these matches are underway.

Let’s hope for more goals in three of our other games in the second half.

We all love goals, don’t we!

HT: Brighton 0-0 Everton

Aadam Patel at the Amex Stadium:

Goalless at half-time at the Amex. Brighton have still failed to make their dominance count but Everton have had chances of their own, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin heading wide and Lewis Dunk making a last-ditch tackle to deny Abdoulaye Doucoure.

There were six goals in this game last season so let’s hope for some goals after the break!

HT: Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

Henry Clark at Selhurst Park:

A first-half that will give Palace fans cause for optimism. Scoring goals continues to be their Achilles heel but with Burnley down to 10-men, you can expect the game to open up in the second 45 minutes.

HALF-TIME: Aston Villa 3-1 Nottingham Forest

The best match of the featured matches, for sure.

Aston Villa have been imperious, with Leon Bailey running the show, getting two assists in the process.

A brace from Douglas Luiz and Ollie Watkins’ early effort put Villa 3-0 up and in cruise control, but Moussa Niakhate’s goal before the break means they are not home and hosed yet.

GOAL!!! Aston Villa 3-1 Nottingham Forest (Niakhate 45+5′)

They do not deserve that, but Nottingham Forest have pulled one back before half-time.

Taiwo Awoniyi does well to head Morgan Gibbs-White’s corner back across goal for Moussa Niakhate to hit home.

I think it hit his chest and went in. Unconventional.

HALF-TIME: Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

Palace fans will be happy after that.

They might not be winning, but they have bene the better side, and Burnley are down to 10 men after Josh Brownhill saw red before the break.

The hosts will want to take advantage of their extra man in the second half.

HALF-TIME: Brighton 0-0 Everton

Somehow, this one is 0-0, I really don’t know how.

Brighton dominated large parts of the contents, but couldn’t finish their chances.

Everton did have some opportunities of their own too, but neither side could take advantage of the other going into the break.

HALF-TIME: Man United 0-0 Fulham

Man United fans are not happy.

I’m not surprised, they have been by far the second-best side in this match. Fulham have had their chances, with the best coming through Rodrigo Muniz when he smashed an effort against the post.

Marco Silva has to be a little disappointed that they are going into the break at 0-0 but must be happy with his side’s performance.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

Henry Clark at Selhurst Park:

It’s a red card for Burnley and James Trafford won’t want to watch this one back.

He sold his pass to Josh Brownhill short, allowing Jefferson Lerma to pick his pocket. Brownhill had no option but to haul the Palace man to the floor but was given his marching orders by referee Lewis Smith.

GOAL!!! Aston Villa 3-0 Nottingham Forest (Douglas Luiz 39′)

That should be that, and it’s not even half-time. It’s a brilliant header from the Douglas Luiz to get his brace.

The Brazilian rises like a salmon to head home John McGinn’s inviting cross.

It’s his 10th goal of the season, he is loving life under Unai Emery!

Aston Villa 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Tom Collomosse at Villa Park:

Lots of squabbling within the teams here. After the second goal, Gibbs-White gathered Forest’s players around him and appeared to berate Felipe, who came back at him. And just now Unai Emery and Villa sub Lucas Digne seemed to exchange cross words, too.

RED CARD: Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley (Brownhill)

Well, Burnley are down to 10 men.

Things just aren’t going to plan for Vincent Kompany’s men this season, and after a poor showing so far, it gets worse.

Josh Brownhill has been sent off for pulling back Jefferson Lerma just outside the box.

The referee doesn’t hesitate to brandish the red card.

Man United 0-0 Fulham

Nathan Salt at Old Trafford:

Well, well, well… a tale of two posts! Moments after Diogo Dalot shaved the post at one end, Rodrigo Muniz has just rattled one at the other. This game needs a goal to bring it to life and, well, I don’t want to jinx it but we’re getting closer

HIT THE POST! Man United 0-0 Fulham

Wow, Fulham have been so unlucky this half.

Rodrigo Muniz has been brilliant so far at Old Trafford and nearly gets his reward there.

He holds off the Uni6ted defenders before unleashing a brilliant strike that smashes the post.

You can’t get much closer.

CHANCE! Man United 0-0 Fulham

Manchester United are certainly growing into this game.

This time Diogo Dalot has a pop from a distance and its brushes the post!.

Can they nick a goal before halftime?

GOAL!!! Aston Villa 2-0 Nottingham Forest (Douglas Luiz 29′)

Leon Bailey is at the centre of it all again.

Villa’s number 31 has been electric so far and this time he does well to set up Douglas Luiz for the finish.

This will be tough to comeback from from Nottingham Forest.

United haven’t got grip of this game AT ALL. Rodrigo Muniz is playing really well for Fulham but for now it’s still 0-0

Man United 0-0 Fulham

Manchester United have come to life now.

It’s taken them a while but they start to test the Fulham goal as Harry Maguire fires a header towards goal before it ends up back at his feet before he fires wide.

Will Fulham rue those missed chances?

Man United 0-0 Fulham

How have Fulham not gone ahead!

Manchester United should count themselves lucky that they still have parity in this game.

It’s another chance for the visitors, this time it’s Rodrigo Muniz who sees a header saved by Andre Onana.

The rebound then falls to Lukic who can’t force it home.

Aston Villa 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Tom Collomosse at Villa Park:

Forest have settled after a dreadful start when they were exposed three times out wide. They’ll need more defensively from wingers Elanga and Hudson-Odoi.

Brighton 0-0 Everton

Aadam Patel at the Amex Stadium:

20 minutes in here and Brighton have been the dominant side, knocking on the Everton door.

Lewis Dunk’s header from a corner is straight at Jordan Pickford though, but it feels like only a matter of time before they break the deadlock

Man United 0-0 Fulham

Fulham are all over Manchester United.

Alex Iwobi does well playing some one-touch football and he receives the ball back and drives at the United defence before dragging a shot wide.

Iwobi has been causing United a lot of problems so far, but it’s still level.

United need to get their heads together.

CHANCE! Aston Villa 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Morgan Gibbs-White lofts in a cross into a good area, it bounces out to Callum Hudson-Odoi but he can’t take his chance.

That’s better though for the visitors.

Brighton 0-0 Everton

You’d expect Brighton to be on the front foot in this one, and they have been.

Danny Welbeck has been brilliant for Brighton at times this season and he nearly gave them the lead there.

He picks the ball up in a good p[position inside the area, but scuffs his shot wide.

Man United 0-0 Fulham

Fulham have started very well, they have gone after Man United.

Marcus Rashford was just seen at right-back by Nathan Salt, I’m not sure that’s meant to be your position, Marcus!

Not too many chances to report yet, though.

GOAL!!! Aston Villa 1-0 Nottingham Forest (Watkins 4′)

Ollie Watkins has been on fire this season, and he grabs his 14th goal of the season inside four minutes.

He makes no mistake after being set up by a fabulous assist from Leon Bailey.

This could be a long day for Nottingham Forest.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

Henry Clark at Selhurst Park:

‘Ollie Glasner’s red and blue army’ is the chant from the Holmesdale End.

A well worked corner almost sees them take the lead but Jefferson Lerma fires narrowly over. There’s definitely a new-found sense of optimism around Selhurst Park today.

Crystal Palace 0-0 Burnley

Nearly a perfect start for Palace under Oliver Glasner.

After some sloppy Burnley defending the ball falls to Jefferson Lerma, but he can’t keep his shot down.

Promising early signs for the Eagles!

KICK-OFF!

We are underway in all of our 3pm Premier League matches!

Predictions?

Kick-off is approaching. Excitement is building. Bums are going on seats.

So now it’s time to predict what is going to happen in these four 3pm kick-offs.

What are your predictions?

What can we expect from Glasner’s Palace?

It’s a big day for Crystal Palace as their new era under Oliver Glasner officially begins.

What can we expect? Well, it is going to be a little different to what Palce are used to under Roy Hodgson, but thats what they wanted.

It should be high energy with lots of emotions.

Could be very exciting to watch, there warm-ups certainly looked vigorous!

Erik ten Hag: ‘Forson deserves to play and of course, now he has to show it’

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag on Omari Forson’s first Premier League start:

We have to replace Rasmus Hojlund and then you look at what is the best balance for this game, then the progression and development of the players and what they are showing during training sessions.

He [Forson] came twice lately in games against Newport and Wolves. Against Wolves he had a very good moment where he was decisive in making Kobbie Mainoo’s goal so he deserve to play and of course now he has to show it.

But he proved it when he came on as a sub and in training.

Aadam Patel: ‘Everton will be desperate for a win to ease some of the pressure ‘

Aadam Patel at the Amex Stadium:

Here at a rainy Amex Stadium, where Everton will be desperate for a win to ease some of the pressure surrounding them. They’re winless in their last eight!

But there’s no Kaoru Mitoma for Brighton due to injury, which will undoubtedly be a relief for Everton.

Sean Dyche’s side won emphatically here last season. It would be quite the scene if they were to do the same today.

The return of Julio Enciso

Another big story from today’s matches is that Julio Enciso returns to the bench for Brighton.

It has been a horrible few months for the Paraguayan attacker, who injured his knee in August.

He has had to have two operations, it has been a long slog for Enciso, but he is back now.

Nathan Salt: ‘Opportunity knocks for 19-year-old Forson’

Nathan Salt at Old Trafford:

It’s a huge afternoon for Omari Forson. The teenager has been given the nod to replace Rasmus Hojlund in attack for his first Premier League start.

But it’s a damning indictment for Antony – on his birthday no less. The £86m winger is further down the pecking order than an academy star who is out of contract in the summer. Not the present he was probably after…

Worked it out that before today Omari Forson has had 7 minutes of first team football, with substitute appearances in the FA Cup against Wigan and Newport County, as well as in the league away to Wolves. Opportunity knocks for the 19-year-old…

Forson’s big break

The big news of today is that Omari Forson starts for Manchester United against Fulham.

His nerves must be jangling right now, mine certainly would be.

Nobody expected him to be in from the start today, but that doesn’t matter, he has the trust of Erik ten Hag.

I remember when Marcus Rashford got his big break, he grabbed it with both hands – can Forson do the same?

Aston Villa will want revenge

Aston Villa are having a fabulous campaign, they currently sit fourth in the Premier League, which nobody would have expected at the start of the season.

However, one of their poorer performances this campaign came against Nottingham Forest in November, where they lost 2-0 at the City Ground.

They will want to make up for that loss today, but face a Forest side who have looked more solid under Nuno Espirito Santo.

It’s set up to be a great game.

Can Everton end winless run?

The Toffees have been having a horrible time of it recently.

They face a Brighton side today that has won two out of their last three games and sit pretty in seventh place, not an easy game.

Sean Dyche’s are winless in their last eight Premier League matches, last securing a victory back on 16 December – a 2-0 win away at Burnley.

They look in deep trouble at the moment. When they were last in a similar position though, they came to high-flying Brighton and walloped them 5-1.

Is that on the cards again? I doubt it.

Glasner keeps his promise

Henry Clark at Selhurst Park:

New Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner promised not to change too much, too soon at the club – and it appears he’s going to live by his word as he names an unchanged team for his first game on the touchline.

Palace remain without the injured Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise for this afternoon’s clash with second-bottom Burnley at Selhurst Park.

Academy graduates galore for United

Man United have always been great at bringing through academy players.

Today, they start with three academy graduates who in total cost them just £325,000 to bring to the club.

Will they do the job for them today?

Dyche’s Everton lineup

Just the one change for Everton.

Jack Harrison replaces Ashley Young. Dwight McNeil also starts, he netted a fabulous brace at the Amex last season.

Everton will want him in that mood again today.

Enciso on bench for Brighton!

Roberto De Zerbi loves to make changes and he’s done so again here.

He makes two changes from the team who romped to a 5-0 victory over Sheffield United last week.

Evan Ferguson and Igor Julio come in for Karou Mitoma – who is injured – and Adam Webster.

Julio Enciso also makes a return to the bench after six months out.

Burnley starting XI to face Palace

Visiting boss Vincent Kompany has however made some changes to the side who got thumped 5-0 by Arsenal last week – no surprise there.

He makes two changes with Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Charlie Taylor coming in for Aaron Ramsey and Hannes Delcroix.

Glasner’s first Palace XI!

It’s an unchanged starting lineup for Crystal Palace.

How different will they play under Oliver Glasner, I can’t wait to find out.

It looks like he wants to see how he can develop the team he already has.

Forest’s lineup to face Villa

Just the one change for Nottingham Forest, Moussa Niakhate comes in for Nuno Tavares.

Forest will want to build on their 2-0 win over west ham last week.

is this the team to do that?

Martinez to make 150th PL appearance

It’s a big day for Emi Martinez who is set to make his 150th Premier League appearance today.

It’s been a long journey for the Argentine goalkeeper, but he keeps just getting better and better with age.

Villa are unchanged from their 2-1 win over Fulham last week.

Bassey returns for Fulham

Calvin Bassey has returned to the starting lineup for Fulham after being away at the African Cup of Nations.

He is one of SIX changes to the side that lost 2-1 at home to Aston Villa last week.

Forson STARTS for United

A huge day is in store for 19-year-old Omari Forson who is set to make a first Premier League start for Manchester United.

He comes in for Rasmus Hojlund while Victor Lindelof comes in for the injured Luke Shaw at left-back.

Does this starting XI excite you United fans?

What are your starting XI predictions?

Team news is just five minutes.

The question on everybody’s lips is who is going to start in place of Rasmus Hojlund for Manchester United?

According to reports, Omari Forson is due to make his first Premier League start for the club. What a moment that would be.

Who will Oliver Glasner pick in his first XI?

There are going to be some interesting lineup choices today!

Will Fulham be laughing at full-time?

The Fulham players are certainly looking comfortable on the Old Trafford turf.

When I see pictures like this I always wonder what was said.

Anyway, they’ll need to be on their game today if they are to get anything from Manchester United.

I’m sure they won’t be smiling if they end up with nothing.

Glasner’s Premier League bow

It’s been all change over the past week at Selhurst Park – they have a new man at the helm.

Palace fans will be welcoming their new boss Oliver Glasner with open arms in their match against Burnley today.

You couldn’t ask for a much better match to start with either, Burnley at home, who sit 19th in the table with just 13 points.

However, the Eagles don’t boast a good record against the Clarets, only winning one of their last five meetings. That did come this season though, so that’s a more positive sign.

Will the Eagles get that new manager bounce?

United’s crazy unbeaten streak v Fulham

It should be no Hojlund, no problem, right?

Going by these statistics, I don’t think United fans have anything to worry about today.

The Red Devils currently boast a crazy 18-match unbeaten run against Fulham, which includes 15 wins, that runs all the way back to March 2010.

The last time United tasted defeat at the hands of the Cottagers was in December 2009, when were embarrassed 3-0 by the west London side at Craven Cottage.

Fulham’s current away record is pretty rancid too, so I expect a home win in this one.

However, United always throw us some sort of surprise.

Hojlund’s big injury blow

Just as Rasmus Hojlund finally found his rhythm, he’s hit with an injury.

Football can be cruel, we all know that, and it must feel like that for Hojlund right now who is set to sit on the sidelines for two or three weeks.

After struggling to find his feet in the Premier League, not scoring his first league goal until Boxing Day, the Danish striker finally hit form – netting seven goals in his last six games.

United are going to have to be without him today though, which is a huge miss.

Erik ten Hag’s team has struggled without a recognised number nine at times this campaign, will Fulham exploit that?

What’s on?

So, what are the four games that we have in store for you today?

  • Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest
  • Brighton v Everton
  • Crystal Palace v Burnley
  • Manchester United v Fulham

There are certainly some decent matchups in there. I didn’t mention it before, but I’m also looking forward to following Brighton v Everton – it always brings goals.

If you’re going to a game, let us know which one in the comments!

Welcome!

Four days is too long not to have Premier League football going on, so I’m glad it’s back.

We have another cracker of a day for you in store, with four 3pm kick-offs before Bournemouth v Manchester City at 5.30pm and an unusual 8pm match kick-off as Arsenal face off with Newcastle.

It does feel weird not having an early kick-off this week, I don’t really know what to do with myself, but I’m sure the rest of the day will be jam-packed full of great footie.

For starters, it will be interesting to see how Manchester United cope today without their goal machine Rasmus Hojlund, who misses their game with Fulham through injury.

I’m also excited to see how Crystal Palace get on in their first game under new manager Oliver Glasner – I bet it is going to be rocking.

With no 12.30pm kick-off, I have been excited for these matches all day.
