DILLON DANIS is officially unemployed just eight days after his explosive loss to Logan Paul.

The 30-year-old MMA grappler barely laid a glove on the YouTuber turned WWE star last weekend.

He landed only nine punches before losing via disqualification after trying to take down Paul in the sixth and final round before a mass brawl ensued.

Danis still took home a hefty payday from the Misfits Boxing spectacle and claimed on Piers Morgan Uncensored that it was £820,000 ($1million) at least.

The American, who is long-term friends with UFC mega-star Conor McGregor, was previously under contract with MMA promotion Bellator.

However, officials confirmed the news last night that he has been released from his contract.

Danis only fought twice in Bellator, which are his only two professional MMA bouts so far.

He earned submission victories in both, with the last coming way back in 2019, with a series of injuries preventing his return.

After last week’s defeat, which he is appealing, Danis hinted at the possibility of a rematch in the octagon, declaring Paul had even agreed to the fight.

He said: “I was just messing around a little bit. Boxing is not a real fight, it’s a half a fight.

“I want to fight him in a real fight, [he] shook my hand and said he was going to fight me in MMA… he shook my hand, if he’s a real man, he should…

“Fight Paul in MMA? I am ready to do it, I can do it tonight. I didn’t take any damage, so I want to take a fight in the next thirty days. I’m ready to go!”

Danis also declared he was going to UFC next following the defeat.

And after news was shared about his release on social media, he retweeted it and tagged in UFC president Dana White on a message that read: “We about to make a lot of money, Dana White.”
