CALLUM Jones confessed that he initially had ‘no interest’ in Jess Gale when she entered the All Stars villa.
Jess, 24, and Callum, 27, sat down with Indiyah Polack on Love Island’s podcast.
Callum and Jess met four years ago on the same series but didn’t have a romance.
Indiyah asked Callum how he knew Jess was right for him, having met before.
Callum said: “When Jess first came in, I’m going to be honest, I was like, there before, it is what it is, not really a thing.
“But when she pulled me for a chat and we started talking, more and more I was like wow, I’m actually pleasantly surprised.
“A lot can happen in four years, I’ve changed massively in four years and I know Jess has as-well.
“It’s funny how things play out I guess.”
When Indiyah asked Callum whether they’d be making things official soon, Callum replied: “We’re actually so compatible and we’ve got a couple little dates planned on the outside.”
Callum also talked about his friendship with his ex, Molly Smith, after seeing her in the All Stars villa.
He said: “Even after the first week or two, we were friends and to be fair, I’m actually glad we’ve got that friendship.
“And I feel like people maybe have seen past the friendship because they want the fairytale ending but sometimes it just doesn’t happen.”
He added: “Life’s too short, it takes more energy to be bad with someone and to be negative with someone. Just get on with life. Life goes on.”
Jess and Callum came second place on All Stars, while Molly and Tom Clare won first, and Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie got third.
