It’s been a day of ‘firsts’ on the moon – the first time, in half a century anyway, that an American spacecraft has landed.

And the first time ever that there’s been a lunar touchdown by a private company. It wasn’t entirely smooth – but it’s being hailed by NASA as a “triumph”.
