United’s season-changing form continues

Leeds Utd have not tasted defeat in all competitions this year.

The last time Daniel Farke’s side were beaten was a 1-0 defeat at The Hawthorns against West Brom on 29 December.

Their form has seen them propel to second in the table, having come from behind to beat league leaders Leicester City 3-1 in their last outing.

Boss address pundit comments

Pochettino spoke about the cost of the squad the club have assembled since Todd Boehly took charge and recent comments by Gary Neville:

We need to put it all in context. Always I respect the opinion of every pundit. Gary, I have a very good relationship with him. Sometimes it can be unfair in my opinion and in that case I think it is unfair. After 90 minutes, we were the better side and we deserved to win. We were not clinical enough and then you always need some luck to score the goal and win the game. If we won the game after 90 minutes, then everyone would be talking in a different way today.

Test for Premier League readiness

Sitting second in the Championship table and on a fantastic run of form, Leeds Utd will have the chance this evening to pit their wits against Premier League opposition.

Getting promoted is integral to the club after last season’s relegation, but they also need to be able to survive in the top-flight.

Facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge gives them a chance to see how well suited their squad are to take on what the Premier League has to offer, if it proves a mismatch, this will be a concern for the readiness of their return.
