Sculptor Leilah Babirye began her art as a form of activism back home in Uganda, where being gay is a crime.
Forced to flee her home after being outed by a newspaper, the artist claimed asylum in New York. Now, her sculptures stand as monuments to the LGBTQ+ community.
We went to meet the artist at her exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
