Jessie J and Chanan Safir Colman are rather private when it comes to their romance, but the doting parents have now been seen with their adorable son for the first time in public.
Pop star Jessie and Danish-Israeli basketball player Chanan, 40, welcomed a baby boy earlier last year after the Price Tag hitmaker previously shared that she had suffered a miscarriage.
While Jessie has started documenting much of her son’s growth on social media, she and Chanan don’t tend to flaunt their relationship apart from the odd mushy tribute.
Stepping out in Los Angeles this weekend, the pair kept it casual on a family outing.
The 36-year-old singer-songwriter and her sportsman partner made the rare outing for a shopping trip to Waste Land in Studio City.
Jessie looked relaxed in baggy light-wash jeans, which she paired with an oversized graphic sweater.
Strolling with her hands in her pockets, the pop queen also wore her brunette locks in loose waves and carried her baby essentials in a cross-body bag.
Meanwhile, Chanan took the lead as he pushed baby Sky in his pram.
The little one could not have looked sweeter, with a tiny knitted hat on his head.
Sky was born last May, with Jessie telling her fans at the time that he is ‘all my dreams come true’.
When announcing Sky’s arrival, Jessie hailed him as her ‘whole world’, adding that she was ‘flying in love’.
Since then, her millions of followers have had their hearts melted on several occasions thanks to Jessie’s adorable snaps.
Most recently, Jessie acknowledged how parenthood is filled with both ups and downs, feeling heartbroken when she had to leave her beloved son for a work trip to Korea.
Admitting she was ‘dreading’ the trip, Jessie shared a video of herself in tears over the idea of being away from the tot, writing: ‘Me every time I think about it.’
Reaching out to fellow mums and seeking some words of wisdom, Jessie also penned: ‘I have had one night away from Sky since he was born.
‘I have to leave for work next week for Korea for 4 days and I am legit dreading leaving him.’
‘Any advice or tips making it feel less S**T,’ she asked her 13.9million followers.
She went on to say that she needs ‘support and reassurance’ through the trip, and that ‘Aries aren’t good at admitting that’ before writing she will take ‘deep breaths.’
As for his parents’ relationship, Sky’s mum and dad have slowly started sharing more about life behind closed doors in recent months.
In June 2023, the singer shared a sweet tribute to her other half.
‘I struggle to keep things private,’ she prefaced the post. ‘I think if you know me, you know that. I want to protect people I love and keep it for myself.’
She continued: ‘And then so often I think f**k it because life is short and don’t want to regret it. Once you open the door, you can’t close it.’
Jessie referred to her partner as a ‘beam of light’ that ‘lit up my dark days,’ adding that their relationship has been ‘a whirlwind love.’
The pop sensation continued to gush, calling Chanan ‘the calm to my crazy,’ ‘the peace to my fear’ and, finally, ‘the Daddy to my baby’.
Then, when he turned 40 this year, Jessie declared her love for Chanan, saying she is ‘in awe’ of him as a father and praising him for ‘showing Sky the way’.
Jessie and Denmark-born basketballer Chanan were first linked in 2021, but it remains unclear how they met.
